Lunch in Yoo Hoo Metrowalk

It's almost 1:00 o'clock in the afternoon when we took our lunch break. I thought we are just going downstairs to eat our food as what we usually do everyday. But something different occurred. Jojo invited us to explore some place around Metrowalk. Since he has his car with him, he guided us in our way to the said place.It's been a while when I last visited Metrowalk. This time we ate our lunch in this small restaurant called "Yoo Hoo Barbeque".

The food there was good and you could have them by just paying an amount that will surely fit your budget. Though the place was not an air conditioned one, I could say that it's more convenient for me because you can breathe the cool air coming from the outside and it feels so relaxing though.

Sometimes it's nice to enjoy life where you don't think about your work. Too much work is not good and I believe , we have to at least amuse ourselves even by just making a small way to bond with other people.

I hope one day I can come back there with my friends and loved ones. Having a small budget is not a reason for me to be there once more because this place was cool and could offer you food that don't need a high amount for you to have.

First Day of my New Work

I started my new career path last Monday, June 13,2011.Being in a world where you don't even know everything is a mess and somehow upsetting.

I've set my alarm clock at 9:45pm last Monday.And since I'm too sleepy then,I woke up at 11:30pm which was too late for me.I was scheduled to report for work at 12:00 am and 30 minutes was not enough for me to fix myself and ride from my place to my new office.I quickly took my bath for 20 seconds I guess,and immediately rushed myself to go the the office.My head was aching that time because of the rush.There's no fx crossing our road so I rode a taxicab for me to be on time since it was my first day of work.

I arrived at the office 2 minutes before my time.It was disgusting because I haven't combed my hair yet and my face was too oily for I don't even put a face powder in my face before I left the house.I met my new boss and Sam,my friend, introduced me to my other colleagues and soon to be my friends for sure.I thought that I would be having batch-mates but on my surprised I was the only new one there.So I cannot blame myself why I'm so silent and trying to be more comfortable as much as I can.

On my first day I thought that I will be in the training room and will study the job to be assigned to me, but I was surprised that I would not be sent to the training room cause there's no training at all.I was really shocked and so shocked!!!!! I really don't have any idea how a web merchandiser work nor their terms and all other stuff,as in nothing at all.I came from an accounting major so I don't have any idea how I.T. business works.

Big blessing that I don't have my computer yet.I got a chance to observed my other colleagues,.how they navigate the system,how they respond to work and so on..After 4 hours of waiting, Mr,Jay,the IT man, assembled my new computer in my new cubicle station.

At first, I was thinking that I came to the wrong place.I was like super naive and I felt that I was so stupid that I don't know what to do.

My boss was too lenient when it comes to jokes. I felt that he made fun of me because I'm just a newbie. He asked me to sing while everyone was in the pantry . I refused many times but he insisted and because he's on top and he's a boss, I sung a song. I thought that was the end,but it's not.

It was almost 9:00 am. My shift was about to end now.It's really different compare to my previous work when it comes to schedules. Before my breaks are limited but I can go home right after my shift. Now,I do have a very flexible break schedules but I still need to stay at least 1-2 hours after my shift like what others do in the same office.I thought I can leave at least by 10:00am but my boss asked me to buy food downstairs for the whole team and it took more than an hour for us to buy that food.

And then my boss told me to sing again though I'm really not in the mood because my head is aching too much as if it's breaking..( it started before I came to the office)

I really don't feel happy on my first day of work.I'm trying to be more comfortable with my colleagues but it's hard to adjust yet.

What a GREAT blessing again!!

In my entire life, I could say that I couldn't count the blessings GOD had given me.

Though in different ways,still He always provides what He thinks I need in life.Because of that,I wanna say "thank you LORD"

After a year and 7 months working as an agent in a call center company,I finally found my passion to work in an office where you are not required to take calls, listen to the customer's problem which are,in the first place,not your problem anyways. I decided to leave my current employer because I wanna take new challenges which I know I can do more aside from taking calls.Last week Yan and I applied for a position in OSPR,LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of US based PC Mall in California, which is solely located in the Philippines. It day was a tough day for me because we're thinking that there are lots of position available but upon hearing directly from the Hiring Manager that there's only one position left, I felt somehow sad because me and my partner are thinking that we will be having a chance to work together in one campaign and one company.After doing the normal application procedures,I got the position.I can't blame my partner why he felt so frustrated because I,myself would feel the same just in case I was on his position.I just promised him that if there would be an open position again I would refer him to HR for reconsideration so we could work togethet again as what we used to do when were in Transcom.

I was scheduled to sign my contract later but I still have one more document to secure, my NBI Clearance. I need to go to Mandaluyong City Hall to file a clearance because according to the renewal office in SM Megamall, I have to go directly to major NBI satellite for my clearance so I guess the most accessible for me is in Mandaluyong City Hall. But the problem is, I don't even know where it was located. So a big gratitude to the internet, I foubd it. Pls take a look at their official site http://www.mandaluyong.gov.ph/

Right now I am happy that I have something different to do with my career.I'm not gonna take calls now but I would be more expose to web site creation.Though I am not used it, I know that GOD gave me this job because HE knows that I can handle it.

My Passion for Photos

Photo Editing is one of the best job in which I think I can be interested with.Before, all I know is to make a pose,but eventually I started craving for art of photos.I started learning photos from my partner who was used to it.He knows how to make a photo more beautiful and stunning.He knows how to edit a photo which is not that good and turned it into a gorgeous picture. I have a blood of an artist as what they say, so I asked my partner to teach me how to edit pictures even using a non popular photo editor.As time goes by, I gradually learned to edit my own pictures with whatever designs I want.This is one of my reasons why I bought a digital camera.I also wanna learn to make photo shoot with a story in it.

I have to say goodbye!!

This is a work-related issue this time.I've been with TRANSCOM ASIA for 1 year and 7 months now doing the same routine over and over again everyday. Being an agent of SEARS is actually not that hard but tiring.I have to render a mandatory overtime work due to lack of staff.Break schedules are so unacceptable for I need to take calls for more than 4 hours before I can get my 15 minute break.That was so unfair.I know that our schedule planners are just doing their jobs but they should take care of their agents as well( palibhasa they are not taking calls kaya di sila nahihirapan eh).

It came to the point that I felt so exhausted doing the same thing all over again.I was getting irritated all the time because customers are blaming us and sometimes cursing us for they do not know that we are just taking calls for SEARS and we are not Sears itself.

Transcom is my family.I used to love the people I'm working with, my station and chair, those familiar faces that i used to see everyday in the office, all of them, they made me as me as an employee of this company.Salary is good though sometimes disputes are that we can't avoid but that's not a big deal anyway.

I had so many good memories here in this place.This was my first job to work for an international campaign. I found my true friends here and also my very loving partner in life whom I living with until now.

Staying with Transcom was a big help.That I cannot deny because it gave me my major source of income. I was able to buy anything I can afford and anything I want to have. I can say that I learned a lot of things here most especially in dealing with variety of customers. I was able to built my foundation because this company gave me an experience that I can use in my succeeding jobs outside Transcom.
